Soccer Comes to Alabama Championship Matches: Saturday, April 28th, 2007
Futbol Internacional 2007
will be the one of only 4 world-wide International
women's soccer events of its kind outside of the
Olympics and World Cup. This will be entirely in
Alabama in different locations around the state. Unlike other promoted events, as AYSA and 501c3
non profit, we will also provide free soccer clinics
to the communities, and the proceeds will go to
supporting our outreach, in both the inner city

CHICAGO (April 16, 2007) – The U.S. Under-21 Women’s National Team will travel to Alabama in late April to participate in the 2007 Futbol Internacional Tournament from April 22-28 at six venues throughout the state.The six-team, nine-match tournament features the U.S. U-21s, China’s U-21s and Trinidad & Tobago’s full Women’s National Team in Bracket A while the full Women’s National Team of Argentina joins Canada’s Olympic Development Team, and Mexico’s U-21s in Bracket B. Canada, which is currently preparing for the XV Pan American Games Rio 2007 in July and the FIFA Women’s World Cup China 2007 in September, will send a mixed team of national-team veterans and youth-team prospects to the tournament.
The two group winners will play for the championship, the second place finishers will play for third and the third-place finishers in each group will meet for fifth place. Read full articleat USSoccer.com.

A joint symposium from US Youth Soccer and Alabama Youth Soccer will be held at 2007 Futbol Internacional tournament in Birmingham, AL April 21-22, 2007. Limited to the first 60 candidates, the symposium will offer a unique opportunity to discuss field observation and preparation for team competition in addition to player development topics. See

NOTE:All Alabama Youth
Soccer Association (AYSA) players will receive at least 1 FREE "player's" ticket. The
Free ticket is to the Legion Field Opening Games in Birmingham. In
addition, AYSA players in south Alabama will also
receive a FREE "player's" ticket to the Triple
Header Closing Games in Mobile. The free ticket(s) for
all AYSA players will be mailed to the player.
The first 5,000 US YOUTH SOCCER players from outside Alabama
can receive their 1 FREE ticket for the Legion Field Opening
Games in Birmingham or the Triple
Header Closing Games in Mobile by clicking on BUY TICKETS
below. AYSA players should not use this option,
their free ticket(s) will be mailed to them.
